IT jobs accounted for a 3.91% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in October 2022, registering a decrease of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 28.57% in October 2022, a 52.38% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 28.57% in October 2022, marking a 52.38% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 22.86% in October 2022, a 14.29% rise from September 2022.

Hatch posted 4 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Nexans with 4 jobs and a 55.56% drop. Caterpillar with 3 IT jobs and ABB with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Assa Abloy recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2022.

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 31.43% share in October 2022, a 31.25% decrease over September 2022. Colombia featured next with a 22.86% share, down 27.27% over the previous month. Chile recorded a 14.29% share, a growth of 25% compared with September 2022.
