US-based company General Electric’s IT hiring rose 16.2% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 19.21% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 8.82% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.59% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops General Electric IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by General Electric, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 63.59% in October 2022, and a 16.96% rise over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 16.02% in October 2022, and registered a decline of 5.71%. Computer Support Specialists held a share of 8.74% in October 2022, a 5.26% drop from September 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at General Electric

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 38.83% share, which marked a 66.67% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 34.47%, registering a 19.32% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 25.73% share and a 20.45% rise over September 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.49% and a month-on-month decline of 50%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.49%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 32.04% share in October 2022, a flat growth over September 2022. India featured next with a 29.61% share, up 45.24% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 6.8% share, a decline of 26.32% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead General Electric IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.37%, up by 7.69% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 41.26% share, a growth of 30.77% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.37% share, down 30.77% over September 2022.
