The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 0.28% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.64% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.3% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s construction industry in July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 26.19% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s construction industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
Komatsu posted 17 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 29.17% over the previous month, followed by Johnson Controls International with 11 jobs and a flat growth. Downer EDI with 9 IT jobs and Cummins with 8 jobs, recorded an 18.18% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while KBR recorded an increase of 14.29% with 8 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.73%, down by 22.95% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.68% share, registered a decline of 18.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.59% share, up 12.5% over June 2022.
