US-based football teams the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders have unveiled the overhauled designs for the proposed $1.7bn Carson stadium.
Initial designs for the Chargers/Raiders NFL Stadium were unveiled in February.

The teams are said to have submitted their new concept in New York to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and the Committee on Los Angeles Opportunities.
The initial renderings for the stadium, designed by Manica Architecture were created by taking inputs from the Chargers only, but the new design is the result of collaboration between both the teams.
Under the new plans, the stadium, which would occupy the 168 acre site of a former landfill located next to the 405 Freeway, is presented as a futuristic open-air venue with a peristyle.
Manica Architecture president David Manica said: "We wanted the building to be iconic and sleek, like a luxury sports car.

As part of the design, a 115ft to 120ft tower will be built that rises through and extends above the main concourse, and would serve as a pedestal for a cauldron.
The tower may be converted into a giant Lombardi Trophy, in case the venue plays host to a Super Bowl.
The stadium, said to be privately financed, secured approvals from the Carson’s City Council, however, many details are still to be negotiated between the city, the Chargers and the Raiders.
New plans for the stadium’s exterior includes a horseshoe seating configuration that is open on one end, and flowing bands wrapping around the outside.
The colour of the stadium’s seats is yet to be decided, Los Angeles Times reported.
