Cambridgeshire County Council in the UK has appointed Morgan Sindall Construction to deliver the £30m ($37.61m) Prestley Wood Academy, which is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school.
This academy will be built at the heart of the Alconbury Weald development in Huntingdon.

Prestley Wood Academy will serve 150 pupils aged between three and 19 years.
The school will become a part of the Alconbury Weald Education Campus.
It has been designed via wide engagement with Cambridgeshire County Council and the Horizons Education Trust.
This school will align with the council’s ‘nearly zero-energy building’ policy.

Morgan Sindall Construction director Jamie Shearman said: “Like so many areas in the UK, SEND places are in high demand in Cambridgeshire. Meanwhile, the north-eastern team of Morgan Sindall Construction has commenced work on a new £12m training centre for workforce training provider TTE Technical, a part of the Middlesbrough College Group.
The new facility, which is located at Middlehaven, central Middlesbrough, is due to open in September 2024.
It will train more than 300 full-time students, 300 apprentices and 500 adults annually, alongside an international group of students.
The centre will provide more than 3,000m² of space over two storeys.
This project was awarded to the organisation through the Pagabo Medium Works Framework.
