
NCC has received a contract to build residential projects for the housing department HATT in the City of Helsinki, Finland.
The contract carries a value of around SEK300m ($28.9m).
Under this contract, NCC will be responsible for undertaking the construction of two different residential apartment projects in Helsinki’s Laajasalo – Gunillanpuisto and Svanströminkuja.
The Gunillanpuisto project features two buildings with 66 tenant-owned apartments and a parking garage, while the Svanströminkuja project consists of 77 rental units for seniors across two conjoined buildings.
All the buildings will be equipped with geothermal heating systems.
NCC head of Buildings Nordics Catarina Molén-Runnäs said: “This project is a good continuation of the solid and long-term relationship between the City of Helsinki and NCC.”

By GlobalDataConstruction of the two projects will begin early next year, with both slated for completion at the end of 2024.
NCC will register this contract value under its Building Nordics business segment in Q4 2022.
Last month, NCC, along with AB Tranåsbostäder, secured a contract to build Junkaremål school in Tranås, Sweden.
The turnkey contract is valued at approximately SEK180m ($17.35m).
An existing school building will be demolished to pave the way for a new building that will feature an elementary school from the preschool class to grade 6 for 392 students and an elementary special education division for another 55 students.
This project is expected to be completed before the 2024 autumn term starts.
