Oscar Renda Contracting, a subsidiary of Southland Holdings in civil segment, has been awarded a $59m contract to construct a water pipeline project for the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority (ENMWUA).

Under the contract, the scope of work includes construction of about 15 miles of water pipeline in Clovis, New Mexico.

The project is a part of the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System, which consists of 150 miles of water pipeline.

This system delivers water supply from the Ute Reservoir to several cities and a military base in the region.

The water pipeline will link to another phase of the rural water system that Southland developed for the ENMWUA.

Earlier this week, Southland was awarded a $596m contract to build a new bridge over the St. Johns River near Jacksonville for the Florida Department of Transportation.

Southland’s Transportation segment will complete the project.

Construction of the project is expected to start in 2023.

Southland will build a new four-lane, 1.8-mile bridge over the St. Johns River, linking Clay and St. Johns Counties.

The scope of work also includes the removal of the existing bridge after the new span opens.
