Veidekke Bygg Indre Østland district manager Geirmund Østvold said: “We have had a development phase for a year and a half now in good cooperation with the developer and architect. We are obviously very pleased that the contract materialised and we can get started with construction. In Mosetertoppen Skistadion AS we have a local and solid partner who suits us well, and we greatly appreciate the commission.”

The focus of the project will be on sustainability and will see use of energy-efficient solutions. It will feature use of wood, low-carbon concrete, reduced steel volumes and a geothermal system to supply waterborne underfloor heating to cater to most of the heating needs.

The apartments and commercial area will be provided with energy label A.

Groundworks have commenced on the site, with construction soon to begin. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.

The contract is registered by Veidekke in its Q3 order book.
