Swedish construction company NCC has started work on MIMO property development project in Mölndal, Sweden.
Located adjacent to Mölndal travel center and the Mölndals Galleria mall, the project is an approximately 40,000m2 building that will house offices, services and retail.
Work on the project includes construction of a new 17-storey building for office and service as well as renovation of an existing building.

MIMO will also include a total lettable area of approximately 32,000m2.
The construction company noted that the building will be constructed to achieve BREEAM Excellent level.
Construction work on the project is scheduled to commence in the autumn with completion planned in 2024.

By GlobalDataNCC Property Development head Joachim Holmberg said: “Mölndal has excellent transport connections and with this addition of new office space, services and retail, we are increasing the number of workplaces in the city.
“MIMO is the final piece of the jigsaw in NCC’s development of Mölndal city center. The excellent transportation links, modern and flexible office space that focuses on the well-being of people as well as a wide range of service offerings will further strengthen the area for companies looking for an attractive location to establish operations.”
Recently, the company signed a partnering arrangement worth $144m (SEK1.2bn) with Hufvudstaden to rebuild and expand the Johanna city block in central Gothenburg.
The project will add many new workplaces in retail, restaurants, and offices.
