Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.29% share in September 2022, recording an increase of 0.05% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 37.23% in September 2022, registering a 7.47% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 33.34% share, an increase of 53.48% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 10.63%, registering an 8.83% rise from August 2022.

Top five construction companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 51.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s construction industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Black & Veatch posted 365 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 18150% over the previous month, followed by CDM Smith with 279 jobs and a 1.06% drop. Honeywell International with 142 IT jobs and Deere with 96 jobs, recorded a 20.67% decline and a 10.28% decrease, respectively, while Larsen & Toubro recorded an increase of 23.94% with 88 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 55.07%, down by 6.24% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 24.99% share, registered an increase of 13.59% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.43% share, up 42.9% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 3.48%, recording a month-on-month increase of 1783.33%.
