Belgian real estate group Atenor has submitted plans to retrofit Fleet House, a seven-storey office building constructed in the 1950s in London, UK.
Acquired by Atenor in April, Fleet House is located at 8-12 New Bridge Street E8C4, close to Blackfriars Station and within the Fleet Street Conservation Area.
This is the company’s first project in London, reported e-architect.
The refurbishment plans for this office building have been designed by HOK, the London-based architecture studio.
About 80% of the building’s current structure has been retained according to the design drawn by HOK.
In addition to the installation of window boxes, the retrofit work will feature a planted façade, a range of outdoor spaces and a new public passageway, Bridewell Passage.

Atenor UK director Eoin Conroy was quoted by Construction Enquirer as saying: “The opportunity to reposition Fleet House aligns with our mission to bring Atenor’s track-record to London and provide with it a leading-edge occupier experience which is sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and focused on user well-being.”
