Out of the construction industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.34% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.71% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.63% in June 2022, registering a 7.2% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 18.48% share, a decrease of 12.57% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 8.55%, registering an 8.64% decline from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.77%, up 31.58% over the previous month.

Top five construction companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 2.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s construction industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

Honeywell International posted 320 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a rise of 21.67% over the previous month, followed by General Electric with 78 jobs and a 17.89% drop. Eaton Corporation with 47 IT jobs and Jones Lang LaSalle with 45 jobs, recorded a 17.54% decline and a 12.5% growth, respectively, while NV Bekaert recorded a decline of 37.29% with 37 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.78%, up by 3.04% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.18% share, registered a decline of 2.31% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.93% share, up 9.09% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.12%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
