Construction work on the $90m I-64 Upgrade: in Cabel County located in West Virginia, the US commenced in Q4 2021. It was announced in Q2 2018.

The project involves the upgrade of a 5.64km of road from four-lane to eight lanes from Merritts Creek to Barboursville in Cabell County, West Virginia, the US.

The project includes the following:

1. Construction of five overpass bridges
2. Construction of concrete curbs
3. Construction of median
4. Construction of drainage system
5. Installation of safety and signalling system

Construction on the project is expected to be completed by Q2 2024.

Owners of the project include the US-based West Virginia Department of Transportation.
