The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 12.36% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 4.6% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.08% growth over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations tops AECOM IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AECOM, Miscellaneous Computer Occupations emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 41.3% in August 2021, and a 42.42% drop over July 2021, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 36.96% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 54.05%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.87% in August 2021, a 66.67% drop from July 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at AECOM

North America emerged as the leading region in the global construction IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 67.39% share, which marked a 54.41% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 19.57%, registering a 10% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.87% share and a 50% drop over July 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 2.17% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s construction industry IT hiring activity with a 65.22% share in August 2021, a 51.61% decline over July 2021. Hong Kong featured next with a 6.52% share, up 200% over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead AECOM IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 45.65%, down by 25% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 45.65% share, a decline of 46.15% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 4.35% share, down 86.67% over July 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.35%, recording a month-on-month decline of 75%.
