UK-based retirement living specialist Audley Group has appointed Graham Construction for the development of an £80m retirement village in Cobham, Surrey, UK.
Called Audley Fairmile, this retirement village will become Audley’s second village in Surrey, after Audley Cooper’s Hill opened in 2019.
Audley Fairmile will feature 74 two-bedroom units based around central facilities in the Audley Club.
The retirement village will feature a swimming pool, health club, restaurant and bar bistro. These amenities will be available to Audley property owners, as well as people from the local area.
This project is one of four new Audley Villages funded through a joint venture with the real estate unit of Schroders and healthcare real estate investor Octopus Real Estate.
Audley Group managing director Kevin Shaw said: “The demand for our retirement villages is higher than ever, so we are delighted to be able to work with construction partners like GRAHAM that we know will deliver to Audley’s high standards within the shortest timeframe possible.

By GlobalData“The UK has a real dearth of quality retirement housing provision. We have seen this year the vital role that retirement villages can play in giving older people safe and secure living options and we will continue to accelerate our growth plans to meet the needs of the nation.”
Graham Construction regional director Rob Joyce said: “The UK’s senior population is growing and we need a stronger supply of retirement housing coming forward if we want to meet the needs of this growing demographic.
“It’s crucial that we provide housing and facilities of the highest quality to guarantee older people independence and a quality of life, and we couldn’t be prouder to be partnering with Audley Group to deliver this vision at its latest retirement village in Cobham.”
