OZ Architecture has designed a new assisted living and memory care community, Atria Westminster, in the City of Westminster, Colorado, US.
The 126,000ft², five-storey residential building will include 30 memory care studios and 107 assisted living apartments.

OZ Architecture designed an airy sky lounge on the building’s fifth floor, which also has a fitness centre and theatre.
The company also designed the building with a classic brick and stucco exterior, as well as a gabled roof.
The interior elements of Atria Westminster have been designed so that they recall the natural landscape and Colorado red rock formations.
The building is located just south of Highland Hills Golf Course and features a steel walking bridge over the Farmer’s High Line Canal Trail. The bridge connects residents to the shops in Westminster City Center.

By GlobalDataMemory care residents on the first floor will have access to a private activities room, salon, open kitchen and dining room.
Strategic lounges offer resting areas within the corridors, and the four seasons room will present a lounge flanked by windows for natural light.
OZ Architecture associate Angela Gunn said: “With easy access to a shopping centre and golf course, as well as a strong connection to the great outdoors of Colorado, the Westminster Senior Living Residences will help elevate the residential living experience for older adults.”
The first floor of Atria Westminster features a full commercial kitchen and assisted living-dining room with a private rentable family suite.
The vaulted ceiling and ample windows of the main dining room create a bright space that opens onto a private courtyard for residents.
The second, third and fourth floors also feature assisted living units that give access to amenities, including a library, activities room and salon.
Atria Westminster is slated for completion in September.
