The new hospital is expected to cost $475m, according to Becker’s Hospital Review. It is scheduled for completion in early 2029.

AdventHealth expects the facility to open to patients in the first quarter of 2029. It is planned to provide up to 150 beds upon opening, with the capacity to expand as local demand increases.

AdventHealth said the new hospital will address the needs of a growing regional population.

Currently, around 80,000 residents must travel 17 minutes to access emergency care.

The new hospital is expected to reduce travel times for more than 400,000 people, potentially improving access to healthcare for a significant portion of the community.

Turner vice-president Scott Bustos said: “We are honoured to support AdventHealth’s mission to provide life-saving care through the construction of this state-of-the-art hospital.

“This project represents a significant investment in the future of healthcare in Colorado, and we are proud to bring our 100 years of healthcare expertise to this transformative effort.”

The design of the facility incorporates lessons learned from the Marshall Fire, aiming to enhance campus accessibility and safety. Multiple entry points will support safety for patients, visitors and staff.

In connection with the new hospital, AdventHealth has also set aside 7.5 acres of the existing Avista campus as protected open space, in partnership with the City of Louisville.

Planning for the future use of the Avista site is ongoing, with outpatient services expected to continue there for the near term.

Other firms working alongside Turner-FH Joint Venture on the project include ADAMS, WSP, SmithGroup and Kimley-Horn.

In August 2026, Turner and TriHealth reported the substantial completion of the initial phase of a new five-storey Ambulatory Services Building at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. The development forms part of TriHealth’s $240m programme to update and increase the hospital’s capacity for the surrounding region.
