Egypt-based Grova Developments has awarded Hassan Allam Construction a $1bn contract to deliver Grova Westfields, a mixed-use real estate project in West Cairo.
The development, situated on 303 acres in the Sheikh Zayed area, is part of Grova Developments’ ongoing expansion in the Egyptian market.

The project is being undertaken through a partnership with the Egyptian Kuwaiti Company for Real Estate Development.
Grova Westfields will include a five-star hotel with 150 rooms, luxury villas, branded residences, and apartments.
Hassan Allam Construction’s scope of work also includes site-wide infrastructure and landscaping across approximately 1.2 million square metres.
The location was selected for its proximity to Sphinx International Airport, the Pyramids Corridor and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
International design firm Broadway Malyan is leading the project’s master planning and architecture.
The company is tasked with shaping the overall architectural vision for the new development.
Hassan Allam Holding chairman and CEO Hassan Allam said: “With a five-star hotel, branded residences, luxury villas and apartments, Grova Westfields brings this integrated approach to life through a distinctive mix of hospitality and residential offerings. It is designed to respond to evolving expectations and deliver lasting value.”
The announcement follows Grova Developments’ previous project, Grova EastHills, in East Cairo, where the first phase was fully sold out.
In 2026, Grova Developments also launched Noor Khuzam, a residential community in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking its expansion outside Egypt.
Grova Developments CEO Sherif Sadek said: “This represents a key pillar of our strategy to expand Grova’s presence in the Egyptian market. As we move into West Cairo, we remain focused on selecting prime locations and developing projects that respond to the distinct character of each location and the needs of the market.
“This expansion builds on the success of Grova EastHills in East Cairo and forms part of our long-term vision to grow a portfolio defined by development quality and sustainable value creation.”
