The Riverside Link Consortium, comprising Gamuda Engineering, Gamuda Australia and MTR Corporation Australia has secured a A$880m ($633m) contract for the future Parramatta metro station.
The announcement, made on 3 September, places the consortium at the heart of the Sydney Metro West/Parramatta Integrated Station Development project.

Under the contract, the Riverside Link Consortium will be responsible for the design and construction of the station and its associated infrastructure.
The project also covers development rights for buildings located above and adjacent to the station.
For the structural station build, Gamuda Engineering Australia maintains an 80% majority stake, with MTR Australia holding the remaining 20% interest.
Parramatta station is one of nine planned stops for the 24km underground Sydney Metro West line, which aims to connect Parramatta and the Sydney central business district.
The overall project is designed to double rail capacity between Greater Parramatta and the CBD, with journeys between the two expected to take approximately 20 minutes when complete.
Major tunnelling on Sydney Metro West is already under way, with tunnel boring machines working a sequence of excavation packages between Westmead and the city centre.
The new Parramatta station is positioned as a pivotal intermediate hub along this route.
Gamuda is already involved in the project through a previous contract win as part of the Gamuda Australia-Laing O’Rourke Consortium.
That separate A$2.16bn Western Tunnelling Package, awarded in 2022, covers construction of 9km of twin tunnels between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park, station boxes excavation at Westmead and Parramatta, and a facility at Rosehill.
This latest contract sees Gamuda returning to the Parramatta site to deliver the permanent station infrastructure following its excavation work under the previous tunnelling agreement.
The underground station infrastructure for the Parramatta Integrated Station Development is scheduled to be completed in 2032.
