The CX85E and CX90E are designed for use by construction teams at both residential and commercial sites.

Landscapers can use these machines for trenching, lifting, grading, and digging tasks. Rental companies may add these excavators to expand the range of equipment available to their clients, said the company.

The excavators are delivered with a full hydraulic package with standard auxiliary and feature drain-to-tank functionality and quick coupler circuits. This means that users do not need to install additional components after purchase to suit job requirements.

The operating weight of the CX85E stands at 19,467lb and features a fixed boom with zero tailswing which permits work close to barriers or structures where space is limited.

Weighing 20,305lb, the CX90E incorporates a swing boom that moves up to 180 degrees, providing reach and digging depth for operations such as trenching or excavation in confined locations.

Both models operate with a 72-horsepower engine.

CNH Construction Brands, North America head Terry Dolan said: “Meeting modern worksite challenges takes innovative equipment that can help crews achieve more with less.

“Listening to what contractors need is what drives our ingenuity-obsessed mindset, and it’s why we built our newest CASE midi excavators to deliver big-machine performance in a smart, space-efficient design. It’s all about empowering crews to be more productive than ever in the most challenging environments.”

The CX85E and CX90E also feature cabs designed for operator comfort and control. Standard features include automatic climate control and heated air-suspension seats.

Each cab contains a 7-inch touchscreen display intended to help with controls and visibility. Joystick controls are positioned with ergonomics in mind.

Furthermore, both machines have track options that consist of full rubber tracks, steel tracks in various widths or steel tracks fitted with rubber pads to allow adaptation to different ground conditions, the company said.

An optional LED light set is available for crews who require additional lighting during operation in low light settings.

CASE said that the maintenance of these excavators is simple, which is supported by a tilting cab intended to provide direct access to hydraulic systems. Access for routine maintenance is further supported by wide compartments, side panels that swing outwards and placement of service points at ground level.

“Our goal at CASE is to help increase efficiency, productivity and profitability for contractors with swift, smooth and smart machines that meet today’s evolving jobsite conditions,” added Dolan.
