US construction equipment manufacturer Case has recorded a net loss of $12m for the first six months of 1999, compared with a net income of $195m for the same period last year. Revenues for the first six months of 1999 were $2.7bn, compared with $3.1bn in 1998. Jean-Pierre Rosso, Case chairman and chief executive officer says, "We have adjusted production levels in accordance with reduced retail demand. We are positioned to rebound strongly when the market recovers."
