United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based developer Azizi Developments has expanded its direct procurement strategy by signing more than 131 framework agreements in 2025.

This initiative marks a substantial step towards improved quality, cost-efficiency, faster project execution, and greater supply chain control for the company, reported TradeArabia.

The majority of the agreements (110) are focused on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works, with the remaining 21 dedicated to civil construction.

These agreements span suppliers from over 20 countries, indicating a focus on a globally integrated procurement model, stated the company.

European suppliers, including those from Italy, Germany, France, and the UK, make up approximately 60% of the onboarded suppliers, with another 20% based in the UAE.

North America and Asia also contribute to Azizi’s supplier base, each accounting for nearly 10% of the agreements.

Most of these suppliers are multinational conglomerates that operate across various regions.

Azizi Developments group CEO Farhad Azizi said: “This achievement marks a major milestone in our ongoing efforts to take the reins in strengthening our direct procurement efforts, allowing us to deliver best-in-class communities across Dubai and beyond.

“By onboarding more than 131 diverse and highly qualified framework partners, which are all carefully selected via a very stringent qualification process, we ensure the consistency, quality, and timeliness that our investors and end users expect. Our global supplier base is a reflection of our pursuit of excellence – a value that remains at the heart of every project we undertake.”

He also stated that “with a procurement approach focused on innovation, efficiency, and resilience, Azizi carries on setting new benchmarks in quality-driven development while contributing to Dubai’s transformation as a global real estate and investment hub”.

In April of this year, Azizi Developments announced the launch of Azizi Milan, a master-planned community in Dubai.
