Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies has completed the pouring of seven wind turbine foundations using concrete made entirely without clinker.

The projects took place from June to August 2025 at sites in Vienne and Marne, France, involving collaborations with industry partners Valorem and Omexom.

At the Lavausseau Wind Farm in Vienne, Hoffmann Green worked with the Valorem Group and additional partners to pour five foundations.

The concrete was supplied by RBS Colas Group’s plants in La Peyratte, Dissay, and Echiré while Lépine TP - Groupe Angevin handled pouring operations.

CTE Wind managed the design and Alpes Contrôles supervised the process.

Each foundation required about 690m³ of concrete, resulting in a total volume of 3,450m³.

The structures were poured in a single continuous operation, with specific procedures followed for temperature management, reinforcement, and mechanical durability, stated Hoffmann Green.

In a separate project at the La Vaure Wind Farm in Marne, Hoffmann Green supported Omexom and TTR with the construction of two additional wind turbine foundations.

Concrete for these foundations came from Pothelet Ecopole, Roncari Aulnay-sur-Marne, and Roncari Vitry-en-Perthois.

CTE Wind again provided design services at the La Vaure Wind Farm and Alpes Contrôles oversaw inspections.

Each of these foundations used approximately 585m³ of clinker-free concrete, totalling 1,170m³.

These wind farm projects form part of Hoffmann Greens’ ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions in construction through the use of clinker-free cement.

The company states that these initiatives strengthen its position to deliver complex civil engineering structures within the renewable energy sector while maintaining standard performance requirements.

Hoffmann Green co-founders Julien Blanchard and David Hoffmann said: “The pouring of 100% carbon-free wind turbine foundations demonstrates that the ecological transition of the infrastructure sector is now an industrial reality.

“We are proving that it is possible to build more sustainably, on a large scale, without compromising on performance or reliability. This is a structuring step for Hoffmann Green and for the entire renewable energy sector.”
