The XCA60_EV is designed for European job sites and features a proprietary oil-electric hybrid drivetrain.
According to XCMG, this configuration enables reductions in both fuel consumption and carbon emissions by up to 40% compared with traditional models.
The crane operates with a 400V plug-and-play electric drive system and is powered by a 170kW electric motor, supported by a dual-engine transport system delivering a combined output of 400kW.
This system allows for fully zero-emission lifting operations without changes to lifting capacity or reliability, according to technical details released by the company.

By GlobalDataAlongside the XCA60_EV, XCMG has expanded its European portfolio with other cranes developed for performance in urban and dense environments.
The XCA80G7-1E is built on XCMG’s G2 technology platform, with dimensions of 12.73m by 2.55m by 3.89m and a turning radius of 7.75m.
The XCA250G7-1E features a main boom length of 60m and a dual-hook coordination system intended for complex worksite requirements. This model supports remote-controlled operation, enabling a single operator to manage tasks and includes telescoping mechanisms for limited-space projects.
Both all-terrain models are equipped with 360° vision systems to aid operator awareness on active jobsites.
Looking ahead, XCMG plans to exhibit the XCA60_EV again at GIS EXPO 2025 in Piacenza, Italy from 25 September, where it will also introduce the XCR50_E rough-terrain crane designed specifically for Europe. This new model has an ultra-narrow body width of 2.5m to meet EU transport rules and improve movement on crowded sites.
XCMG said that orders for its low-emission cranes have increased in Germany, France, the Netherlands and other European markets as regional companies seek to update fleets in line with new requirements.
XCMG Construction Machinery vice president and XCMG Crane general manager Sun Jianzhong said: “XCMG is committed to supporting sustainable and intelligent infrastructure development across Europe. ‘Rooted in Europe, Dedicated to Europe’ is both our strategic focus and our commitment to customers and the environment.”
