Vistry Partnerships has announced plans to build new homes to rent or part-buy project in Europa Way in Leamington Spa in the UK.

For the scheme, the firm has made 3.25 acres land purchase from Warwick District Council located adjacent to Vistry’s existing ‘Priors’ development.

The new scheme will see the delivery of 54 new homes to rent or part-buy, comprising general needs one, two, three and four-bedroom houses and bungalows. It also includes improvements to the existing landscape.

Vistry Partnerships Central and North divisional managing director James Warrington said: “We are very pleased to be working in partnership Warwick District Council to transform this site that forms part of the Warwick District Local Plan which has allocated approximately 4,500 homes to be built along the Europa Way corridor by 2029.

“Some of these homes have already been built with others underway including our development at “The Priors” where Vistry Partnerships are currently building a collection of brand new 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom houses for sale under our Linden Homes brand.”

In addition to benefiting from the Europa Way Corridor Highways Improvement Programme, the site is served by road, cycleways and public transport having both Warwick and Leamington rail stations located five minutes away.

Additionally, the site is situated close to the proposed new parks, primary school and a neighbourhood centre as well as Myton Secondary School.

Warwick District Council housing and property portfolio holder Jan Matecki said: “This scheme is part of a growing portfolio of developments that the Council is bringing forward to enhance the supply of decent social housing in the District over the next few years.

“Proceeding now to the planning stage, offers confidence that there will still be a stream of work for the wider construction sector which will be important to help the economy recover from the Covid-19 emergency as well as addressing long-standing local community needs.

“The proposed houses will be built to a high level of energy efficiency as part of the Council’s commitment to addressing the Climate Emergency.”

Vistry plans to commence construction on the project in the fourth quarter of 2020.
