Regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships and Cross Keys Homes have acquired British Sugar’s former headquarters site to transform into affordable homes.
The £14m scheme, which is to be built on south-west of Peterborough town centre, already has outline planning permission for up to 74 family homes and apartments.
Vistry Partnerships stated that all the new homes will be affordable and boost the local housing supply.
Housing association Cross Keys Homes will manage the new homes after construction.
The two companies will submit a Reserved Matters planning application to Peterborough City Council.
Vistry Partnerships East Midlands pre-construction director Greg Wood said: “By working closely with Cross Keys Homes, we have created an ambitious plan for British Sugar’s former headquarters in Peterborough.

Cross Keys Homes CEO Claire Higgins said: “We’re committed to providing quality, affordable homes because we know how important it is to have the security of a roof over your head.
“We’re delighted to be working with Vistry Partnerships to expand an existing community and create more opportunities for people to thrive in Peterborough.”
Last year, Vistry Partnerships was awarded a contract by Populo Living, a wholly-owned housing company of Newham Council, to deliver £62m Plaistow Hub regeneration project in the UK.
Located in Plaistow, east London, the regeneration project is a mixed-use residential-led scheme, which will include the construction of two separate residential buildings.
