The design and build agreement involves constructing a 13-storey building featuring 39 apartments, a parking facility and outdoor areas.

The client, Odden 1, is a collaboration between Stavanger Utvikling, Entra, Camar Eiendom and OBOS Nye Hjem.

Veidekke has been involved with the residential project since May 2022 and began construction on the first phase last summer, which included 56 apartments across three buildings.

Veidekke Bygg Rogaland district manager Bendik Aarstad said: “We truly appreciate the trust and the opportunity to continue our collaboration with Odden 1 AS.

“It gives us great pleasure to maintain continuity and be able to utilise the synergies and collaboration in such a field development.

“We look forward to building on the good foundation we have established together in the first phase of construction.”

The second phase will feature apartments on the waterfront, offering a range of layouts from two-room units of 44m² to five-room units of 174m².

Construction is set to begin in October, with completion and handover scheduled for the second half of 2027.

The agreement is part of Veidekke’s order portfolio for the third quarter of 2025.

In August, Norwegian postal service Posten Bring Norge selected Veidekke to construct the framework of a new logistics facility in Lyseparken to the south of Bergen.

The turnkey agreement is valued at nearly Nkr280m, excluding VAT.

The logistics centre will span 22,000m² and feature 156 loading bays along its exterior.

During the same month, Veidekke also received a contract from the Swedish Transport Administration to build the Stora Hamnkanalen tunnel, a component of the West Link Project in central Gothenburg.

With an initial contract value of Skr280m ($29.77m), the project involves the creation of a tunnel comprising both concrete and rock sections measuring approximately 54m and 16m in length, respectively.

This tunnel will traverse the Stora Hamnkanalen near its outlet into the Göta älv.
