Construction firm Veidekke has secured a design and build contract worth approximately $15.3m (SEK135m) from Terrester to construct new residential buildings in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Named Spitfire neighbourhood, the new project involves construction of two residential buildings in Amhult in Torslanda near Gothenburg.

The two building will together have 75 flats with a patio or a balcony along with five semidetached homes.

Scheduled to be completed in 2023 spring, the development will offer small, space-efficient studio flats to four-bedroom flats as well as semidetached homes with separate entrances.

All flats will have either a patio or a balcony, and the residents will have their own green courtyard.

Recently, the company was awarded a design and build contract worth ($19.22m) NOK172m by Tvedestrand municipality to construct a new elementary school in Tvedestrand, Norway.

The new 6,500m2, three-storey building will accommodate a new elementary school for the resident of Tvedestrand municipality.

The new school is for three parallel classes with room to accommodate 525 students.

Additionally, it will also include approximately 15,000m2 space for complete outdoor areas and community facilities.

Construction work on the project is scheduled to be completed in May 2023 and will be ready for the start of the school year in 2023.
