Veidekke has obtained a contract to build the second stage of the Poulssons Kvarter residential project at Fornebu in Bærum, Norway.

This phase, commissioned by real-estate developer Fredensborg Bolig, involves the construction of 52 apartments and is valued at just over Nkr140m ($13.8m), excluding VAT.

Veidekke department head Morten Barreth said: “The good sales in the project show that the homes are well received in the market, and we have a very good partnership with Fredensborg Bolig on the ongoing work in the first stage of construction.

“We appreciate the confidence shown in us and are looking forward to continuing our good partnership in the second stage as well.”

In December 2024, Veidekke was entrusted with the initial phase of the Poulssons Kvarter project by Fredensborg Bolig. This included 81 apartments and an underground parking facility.

The Eger residential block, which forms the second building stage, will feature seven storeys above the underground garage facility established during the first phase.

The apartments will vary in size, with one-bedroom units starting at 46m² and three-bedroom units up to 139m².

The development will also offer common areas, facilities, and a dedicated car-sharing service for residents.

Fredensborg Bolig CEO Bjørn-Tore Rynning Olsen said: “The project is progressing according to plan, and we are pleased with the work Veidekke is doing in the first construction stage. So, it’s satisfying to be able to start the next construction stage as planned.”

The contract will be added to Veidekke’s order book for the second quarter of 2025.

In July 2024, Fredensborg Bolig appointed Veidekke to build a new residential development at Vollebekk in Oslo.

Valued at Nkr460m, excluding VAT, this project involved the creation of 149 apartments across four buildings, complete with underground storage and parking facilities.
