The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) of the Philippines is building two infrastructure projects in Bislig City of Surigao del Sur.

One of the projects is the Bislig City Coastal Protection, which is intended to ensure that the populated area in the coastal part of the city is kept safe from calamities.

This project involves building of 480m road embankment covering the residential district of Mangagoy; bridge construction; bank and slope protection; and drainage infrastructure.

The second project covers the 889.172m Kahayag-Coleto Road. Once completed, this road will boost mobility and reduce costs of transporting basic commodities.

The projects are being undertaken by DPWH Surigao del Sur 2nd District Engineering Office.

Meanwhile, DPWH has completed upgrades of a section of Daang Maharlika in Nueva Ecija of San Leonardo town.

It completed the road and drainage improvement projects along the highway’s 1.79km- portion in Barangay Castellano in San Leonardo town.

The DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) undertook the PHP95.72m improvement works, which involved concreting and asphalting of road shoulders with a total width of 1.70m on two sides.
