Trammell Crow Company (TCC) has announced the start of construction on Akimel Gateway, a new 59-acre Class A development at its Phoenix office in Arizona, the US.
The project is being built along the recently constructed extension of the Loop 202 Freeway on the Gila River Indian Community (GRIC).

It will include five buildings, of which four speculative buildings will be constructed in a joint venture between TCC and Allstate Insurance Company.
Meanwhile, the fifth building of the project will be the new corporate headquarters and distribution centre for Spencer’s TV & Appliance.
Spencer’s TV & Appliance will use the commerce park as a distribution point as well as its headquarters to serve its ten retail locations situated throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

The four buildings spanning 519,000ft2 of area will feature a combination of ramp-up and dock-high loading with heights ranging from 28 to 32ft depending on their configuration.

The other partners of the project include Butler Design Group as the project architect, HILGARTWILSON as the civil engineer and Wespac Construction as the general contractor.
Furthermore, the construction work on Akimel Gateway is planned for completion by December this year.
