Developer Therme Group has proposed a revised design plan for its wellbeing resort in Trafford City, Manchester, UK.
The company is planning to submit the revised plan in summer this year.

Therme Manchester’s updated design plan comprises of several new elements including a waterpark, a wellbeing spa, a thermal bathing, an on-site urban farm, and botanical gardens.
Other elements in the plan include living waterslides, with a 3D-printed superstructure housing plants, and an all-season urban beach.
Besides, the plan will use sustainable technology and biophilic design elements including double-curved roofs for minimising steel usage.
Therme Group will complete the $328m (£250m) project in partnership with Peel L&P.

As per the new plan, the resort will feature a multi-sensory showers and oxygen rooms, a snow room and a visitor and education centre for hosting events on sustainability, food and nature.
The new plan has a green vertical forest car parking space at the Peel L&P’s Trafford Palazzo, which will replace the idea of building an under-venue parking.
The new multi-storey parking space will reduce the excavation efforts and simplify the construction process as well as lowering the environmental impact.
Construction will commence next year and is expected to complete within the following two years.
