Technip FMC has secured an integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (iEPCI) contract from Wintershall Dea Norge for its Maria revitilisation project.

The project will increase production at the current Maria field in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Subsea trees, spools, jumpers, and flexible pipes are included in this contract.

An additional lightweight six-slot integrated template structure (ITS) will be tied in this project.

The two current templates in the Maria field are a part of TechnipFMC’s installed base. These began production in 2017.

TechnipFMC president for subsea Jonathan Landes said: “This iEPCI award is built on our ability to leverage our integrated front-end engineering and design (iFEED) model.

“Through early engagement, we optimized the field layout and maximized the benefits of integrated project execution.

“Our involvement helped reduce the carbon footprint of the revitalisation project by modifying existing infrastructure, eliminating the need for an additional 4,000 meters of pipe.”

In January this year, Technip FMC won a large subsea engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract from Brazilian state-controlled oil company Petrobras for its Búzios 6 field, which is a greenfield development in the pre-salt area.

The contract covered a flexible and rigid pipe, umbilical, pipeline end terminals, rigid jumpers, umbilical termination assemblies and a mooring system.

During the same month, the company also secured an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract from Equinor’s Smørbukk Nord development.

The contract covered a high-pressure, high-temperature subsea production system and related equipment .

This award is for a brownfield tieback in the Åsgard field in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
