Under the contract, STRABAG will construct a 100m-tall office tower, a shopping centre, a hotel, and a four-level underground parking facility.
Construction is scheduled to commence this month, with anticipated completion just over two years later.
Located adjacent to Ljubljana’s main railway station, the southern section is planned to include the tallest office building in Slovenia at 23 storeys.
The shopping centre to be built near the tower will provide more than 22,000m² of leasable space to accommodate over 80 retail outlets.

By GlobalDataAbove the commercial area, a hotel with 200 rooms and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city will be developed.
The underground garage beneath the site will supply around 850 parking spaces for visitors, tenants, and hotel guests.
STRABAG secured the contract for the northern portion of Emonika earlier this year.
The total value of the company’s contracts within the overall development now stands at €230m.
The northern section already underway comprises three residential buildings totalling 187 apartments, an additional office building, a hotel, commercial facilities, and 650 underground parking spaces.
All commercial buildings forming part of the Emonika complex are designed to meet Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method sustainability standards.
The southern segment is set to utilise contemporary technologies such as heat pumps, energy recovery technologies, and low-emission materials while focusing on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
STRABAG South + East segment management board member Péter Glöckler said: “To be entrusted with the full execution of this landmark project makes us proud. Emonika is more than just a construction site – it’s a flagship project that perfectly combines modern urban living with mobility and sustainability.
“Our international teams from Ljubljana, Belgrade, and Budapest are working together to bring this vision to life.”
Last month, ZÜBLIN, a subsidiary of STRABAG, completed the construction of a new office building for Berlin Hyp at Budapester Strasse 1 in Berlin-Tiergarten in Germany.
