NCC Building Sweden department head Annika Grönberg said: “Stockholm is growing and we are pleased to have been entrusted with part of the production of more rental apartments and residential units for the city. We have a long history of cooperation with Stockholmshem and are looking forward to yet another project.”

The buildings are being constructed targeting the Sweden Green Building Council, Silver level. Many of the buildings will feature green roofs or solar cells on the roof.

Stockholmshusen is a partnership project between public housing companies, private entrepreneurs and the Technical Services Department of the City of Stockholm, with the aim of accelerating the pace of construction and meeting the demand for more rental units in Stockholm.

Construction is expected to commence in the spring of 2022 and to be completed in the spring of 2024.

The order will be recorded by NCC during the first quarter of 2022 under its Building business area.
