
Swedish construction company Skanska has secured a contract worth $108.8m (SEK 950m) from Royal London Asset Management to construct new residential and commercial office buildings in London, the UK.
The project, named The Earnshaw Building, will include two separate buildings, one includes 18 residential apartments and the other will be a 21,400m2 mixed-use commercial office building.
The company noted that both the buildings will feature retail units on the ground floor.
Additionally, Skanska will install the mechanical, electrical, and public health services for the new scheme.
It also stated that the two facilities are being constructed with a target for environmental accreditations such as BREEAM Outstanding for the commercial office space, BREEAM Excellent for the rest of the development, along with a WELL Core and Shell Gold certification.
Furthermore, construction on the development is scheduled to commenced in May this year with completion planned in December 2022.

By GlobalDataRecently, the construction company has also announced $73.3m (SEK640m) investment in a new building in Nowy Rynek office complex located in Poznan, Poland.
The 15-storey office building is expected to receive several certifications including LEED Platinum, WELL Core & Shell, WELL Health & Safety Rating and Building without Barriers.
It will include approximately 28,500m2 of total leasable area and will offer nearly 230 underground parking places.
Located in the central business district, Nowy Rynek office complex is Skanska’s third development in Poznan, with a total usable space of approximately 100,000m2.
Construction work on the new office building is scheduled to commence in this month with completion planned in the second quarter of 2023.
