Skanska has secured a contract from Statsbygg, the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property, for preparation and maintenance of the project site for the reconstruction of the government quarter in Oslo, Norway.

The contract is valued at about $64.11m (SEK560m), which will be added in the Nordic order bookings for Q4 2021.

This project features preparatory work of the project site, operating and service during construction phase besides disposal of all installations common to the several contractors involved during the Phase I of the reconstruction of the government quarter after the terrorist attack on 22 July 2011.

Installation of temporary technical infrastructure, common areas, and barracks as well as dismantling are covered under the project, stated Skanska.

The delivery phase of the project commences from October 2021 and runs until October 2026.

In September, Skanska and LAK Real Estate have entered a contract with KOy Apron for the construction of a new hotel at Helsinki Airport in Finland.
