Swedish construction company Skanska has announced nearly $46.5m (SEK390m) investment in the first phase for a new office building in Stockholm, Sweden.
Located in Hammarby Sjöstad, the project, named Sthlm 02, will comprise a café and other service functions on the street level.
The new seven-storey office building will include 14,500m2 of total leasable area as well as a metro entrance.
The project’s first phase will have approximately 7,600m2 of leasable area.
Sthlm 02 is planned to be constructed with well-thought-out spaces for bicycle parking on the entrance level.

By GlobalDataIt noted that the project is part of the company’s initiative Sthlm New Creative Business Spaces.
The development comprises seven office buildings, of which Sthlm 02 is the fifth building. It will be workplace for over 8,000 people.
Construction on Sthlm 02 is scheduled commenced in May this year with completion planned in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Last month, Skanska announced investment of nearly $76.35m (SEK640m) in a new building in Nowy Rynek office complex in Poznan, Poland.
Located in the central business district, the 15-storey office building comprises approximately 28,500m2 of total leasable area.
Scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2023, the development will also include nearly 230 underground parking space.
The construction company stated that Nowy Rynek is its third development in Poznan and has sold the first two buildings to Franklin Templeton Investments and Corum Asset Management, respectively.
