Sheffield City Council in the UK has appointed Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, an architectural and urban design company, to spearhead the restoration and refurbishment of the city’s historic Town Hall.
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios emerged as the chosen business after a competitive selection process.
Its portfolio includes projects such as the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings and the transformation of the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange and Studio Theatre, as well as Bath Abbey.
The Sheffield Town Hall, which has been a central part of the city’s heritage since 1897, has been a venue for numerous events, including council meetings, sports celebrations, and weddings.
Its restoration project was announced by the council earlier this year.
The appointed architect is not new to Sheffield’s architectural landscape, having previously worked on the Heart of the City 2 project and the restoration of the Grade II-listed Leah’s Yard.
