The New South Wales (NSW) Government has released new designs for the planned A$910m ($596.22m) Rouse Hill Hospital, which will serve communities in north-west Sydney, Australia.
The latest designs reveal key features such as the main entry, an internal road, pick-up and drop-off areas, green spaces, and retail and café facilities to serve patients, visitors, and staff.

Rouse Hill Hospital, which will be built on the corner of Commercial Road and Windsor Road, aims to address healthcare needs for the region’s growing population.
An early works contractor appointment is anticipated in the coming months to enable site preparation ahead of main construction activities.
The State Significant Development Application for the primary construction works is now open.
The state government is also seeking feedback on the designs through a community consultation, which will end on 10 December.

“The new designs show the Minns Government’s commitment to creating a state-of-the-art hospital that will service the growing north-west Sydney community for generations to come.
“More hospitals, more beds, lower wait times. It’s as simple as that.”
In August, professional services company Turner & Townsend was selected to offer project management services for the hospital project.
Furthermore, HDR was appointed as the lead designer on the the hospital.
The final scope of the development is set to include an emergency department, a primary access clinic, birthing and maternity units, and inpatient beds.
It will also feature day surgery and medical assessment services, as well as pathology, pharmacy, and medical imaging departments.
Additional offerings are set to include virtual care programmes, home hospital services, and rehabilitation facilities.
The design incorporates a multistorey car park and has been structured to allow for further expansion based on future community requirements.
NSW Planning and Public Spaces Minister Paul Scully said: “Rouse Hill Hospital will provide vital health services for north-west Sydney’s growing community.
“With increasing density in the region it’s crucial we get the delivery of this hospital right, so I encourage the community to have their say on the detailed designs.”
