Romford, UK-based Readie Construction has won the tender for main contractor for a £28m deal to construct a manufacturing and design facility for Moog Controls in Tewksbury, Gloucestershire, the UK.

Readie Construction chairman Stuart Read said: “We are very happy to have successfully won the tender and been appointed to work alongside Barberry, Moog and the project team in delivering this exceptional building.”

With Moog’s manufacturing and design facility set to come up on a 10-acre site in Tewkesbury, Stourbridge-based developer Barberry Industrial will be delivering the 184,000 ft2 centre of excellence.

Barberry development director Jon Robinson said: “Following a competitive tender we have now appointed Readie Construction to act as main contractor on this project. It’s fantastic to see work finally start on site so we can move forward with our programme.

“To have reached this stage so soon is testament to all the hard work and effort put in by our professional team. We are excited to be delivering a state-of-the-art factory and extremely proud to have led the way on what will be one of the few carbon neutral manufacturing facilities in the UK.”
