Primoris Services has announced receipt of a contract for a solar project with an estimated value of $130m.

The contract was bagged by the company’s Energy/Renewables segment.

This engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract is for a utility-scale solar facility in the southern region of the US.

The initial project construction will start in the fourth quarter of this year.

The project is anticipated to be completed in the third quarter of next year.

Primoris chief executive officer and president Tom McCormick said, “This project is another great example of our segments working together to provide a complete solution for our clients.

Last week, Primoris secured a contract for another solar project with an estimated worth of around $120m.

The contract was bagged by the company’s Energy/Renewables segment.

This award is for the engineering, procurement and construction of a utility-scale solar facility in the southwest region of the US.

Initial project construction will start in the second quarter of 2022, with completion of the project expected in the first quarter of 2023.

Tom McCormick also said, “This will be our sixth contract with this solar customer and our eighth project in the Southwest region.”
