POWERCHINA, an integrated construction group, has entered into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Viroque Energy, an energy resources company, for the development of the Arreaz Photovoltaic (PV) Power Station Project in Spain.
Located in San Roque, Cádiz, in the Andalusia region, the solar PV power station will have an installed capacity of 44MW.
Once operational, it is expected to generate around 95,000MWh of clean electricity each year, contributing to the local energy structure and supporting the region’s shift towards sustainable energy sources.
The scope of POWERCHINA’s responsibilities includes the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the project.
Viroque Energy, an entity engaged in the international trade of petroleum products, biofuels, natural gas, and liquefied natural gas, is expanding its portfolio to include renewable energy projects as part of its green energy transition strategy.
The company has a substantial footprint across Europe, America, and Africa and is now focusing on solar PV, wind, and energy storage projects.
