UK-based property developer Godwin Developments and Lowesmoor Regeneration have submitted plans for a new £85m waterside community in Worcester, UK.
The proposed development, Lowesmoor Wharf, will transform the 3.2-acre canal-side site located off the Lowesmoor Terrace into a mixed-use project, which will provide 330,000ft² of home, office and retail spaces.

At present, the site includes industrial and warehousing units and is designated as an area for redevelopment within the Worcester City Centre Masterplan.
Designed by architectural firm Apt, the proposed project will include seven buildings with different heights featuring 271 apartments, 30,000ft² of office space, 9,000ft² of retail space and 8,400ft² of food and entertainment space.
Godwin development director Matt Chandler said: “Our vision is to deliver a lifestyle-led destination that is similar to other standout schemes – such as Gloucester Docks and Eagles Works in Oxford.

The project will also provide a total of 674 bicycle storage spaces, including 465 for residents and 218 for public use. It will also have 10 electric vehicle (EV) charging points.
The project will also feature new public squares and morning/sunset terraces.
To keep up with the history and heritage, Lowesmoor Wharf will refurbish some of the existing buildings and will provide canal-inspired features that form part of the site.
Lowesmoor Wharf is only a five-minute walk from Worcester city centre. It sits between the key railway stations in the city centre, Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill.
