Swedish construction and civil engineering firm Peab has secured a contract worth $19.78m (NOK180m) to construct the Bankløkka housing project in Horten, Norway.
The company delivered the first 51 apartments of the housing project in Horten Havneby last year.

Bankløkka in Indre Havn is the second phase of the housing project and involves construction of 61 apartments as well as a 123m2 townhouse.
It has been developed through a partnership between Peab and Conceptor Bolig.
Peab region manager Terje Kaasa Larsen said: “We appreciate Conceptor Bolig’s renewed trust in us. As a community builder, being an important actor in the transformation of Indre Havn from a worn down commercial area to a modern, attractive residential neighborhood means a lot to us.”

Recently, Peab secured a SEK155m contract to construct a new swimming pool facility for Årjäng Municipality in Sweden.
The new 1,500m2 facility will have a 25m pool with six swimming lanes, a trampoline and a multi-pool with height adjustable bottom.
The facility will have a relax area with a jacuzzi and sauna, a children’s section with a children’s pool besides as a gym, a group exercise room and a wellness area linked to the swimming pool facility.
