Peab has been contracted to build a parking garage and commercial space in Turku, Finland.

The turnkey contract is valued at €15m.

The project will be delivered to customer Reale Rakennus Oy and Litu Oy.

It will include building an underground two level parking garage, commercial space on the ground floor and offices on the second floor.

Furthermore, the new complex will also serve as the foundation for four new future apartment buildings that will be constructed on top of it.

Peab region manager Matti Joensuu said: “We collaborate well and have already completed several successful projects. We began planning this project back in 2019 and are really pleased to get started now, thereby continuing to contribute to building the community of Turku.”

Construction will commence this month and is expected to be completed around September 2023.

The project will be order registered in Q3 2021.

Last week, Peab was chosen to construct a new school with a schoolyard and 22 rental apartments in central Eskilstuna of Sweden.

Eskilstuna Municipality awarded the contract for the school, while Eskilstuna kommunfastigheter gave the contract for rental apartments.

The total contract is valued at SEK231m ($26.95m).

Peab will construct the new school with a schoolyard and 22 apartments on the block Nötknäpparen 22.

The building will feature other premises and a new/rebuilt garage section.

Totaling around 11,680 m2, this is a three-dimensional property formation.

The school will take up 9,800m2 of space, while the apartments would feature 1,880m2 of space.
