Sweden-based Peab has received a contract worth €20m to construct an office building for Niam Oy on the Life Science Center block in Keilaniemi in Espoo, Finland.

As per the terms of the contract, Peab will be responsible for building seven story office structure LSC 1.

The new location of the new building will be connected to the five existing LSC office buildings and the parking garage.

The new building’s ground floor will feature a lobby, café, offices and technique rooms.

The lobby on the first floor will lead up to the second floor, which will have a reception area and conference rooms. Floors 3 to 7 will be dedicated to offices.

The complete building will be 9,400m2.

As per this turnkey contract, construction will begin this month and occupation is slated to commence in March 2023.

This contract is booked in Q1 2021.

Last week, Peab also received a SEK212m ($24.7m) contract to construct new prison buildings in Skänninge, just outside Mjölby in Sweden.

It is being built for customer Specialfastigheter Sverige, and The Prison and Probation Service will be the tenant.

The two new buildings will serve as living quarters with a total of 96 places besides rooms for operations and studies.

Construction will commence in April and the project is slated for completion at the end of 2022.
The contract will be booked in Q1 2021.
