Perbena Emas, Pansar’s subsidiary, has won a construction contract worth $118m to develop the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak’s (Unimas) Teaching Hospital in Kota Samarahan town, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Pansar revealed in a statement that the contract encompasses the design and construction of a new teaching hospital and primary healthcare centre for Unimas in Sarawak, the Malaysian state located on the island of Borneo.

The Sarawak contract is one of four such contracts, worth a total of $145.5m, involving construction of building and infrastructure works and facilities for various such educational institutions in Malaysia, reported Thestar.com.
Hardware and building products supplier Pansar said: “This brings Perbena’s total outstanding order book to approximately $485m from $354m as of February 2021.”
According to a statement by Pansar, the contract was awarded on March 10 during a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.
In a different development, last month China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) bagged phase 2 construction work for the $2.43bn Rapid Transit System (RTS) that will connect the Malaysian city of Johar Bahru and Singapore.
