The Tennessee Builders Alliance (TBA) has marked the completion of the structural steel frame for the new Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, US with a topping-out ceremony.
The event, held at the construction site, signalled the placement of the final steel beam above the upper level on the east side of the building. This represents a key milestone towards the stadium’s scheduled opening in early 2027.

Construction crews have installed more than 12,400 steel beams weighing 18,000 tonnes collectively and poured approximately 98,000 cubic yards of concrete since work began last March.
The stadium framework now covers 1.8 million square feet after roughly 20 months of activity.
Teams are now preparing to start installation of an ethylene tetrafluoroethylene cable-stayed roof system, and will continue with enclosure and interior works as construction progresses.
When finished, the facility will be capable of hosting sporting events such as American football games for both the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee State University, along with concerts and public gatherings.

Residents from Nashville’s Promise Zones have accounted for 18.5% of the total hours worked.
Meanwhile, payments to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise companies, including nearly 100 small businesses owned by women or minorities, have surpassed $110m.
Community outreach activities remain ongoing through workforce events across Middle Tennessee.
The Titans Construction Training Camp programme has seen 96 graduates over eight cohorts, with a majority receiving employment offers upon completion.
TBA principal John Gromos said: “This milestone is the result of great teamwork, innovation, and commitment from everyone involved.
“From the first day, our goal has been to deliver a world-class venue that reflects the strength and spirit of this region. We are celebrating the thousands of individuals and local businesses who collaborated to bring us to this important milestone.”
The TBA joint venture comprises Turner Construction Company, I.C.F. Builders & Consultants, AECOM Hunt, and Polk & Associates Construction.
AECOM Hunt construction management VP Tyler Baumgardt said: “The New Nissan Stadium will create lasting benefits in Middle Tennessee for generations to come. The men and women building this project are a remarkable demonstration of what collaboration and shared vision can achieve, but it’s only the beginning.
“From major concerts to global championship games and, of course, Nashville’s own Titans home games, this stadium will be a driver of opportunity, economic growth, and a vibrant future for the entire region.”
