Zurich Airport is seeking planning consent from the city of Kloten, Switzerland, to start construction on a CHF1bn ($1.1bn) mixed-use project called the Circle.
The Circle will be built adjacent to the airport, covering 200,000m2 of floor space, and will include hotels, restaurants, offices and event facilities.

Construction work is scheduled to begin by 2013 if the airport gets planning consent from the city council.
